Foster the people- Pumped up kicks
I would hear this song on the radio and really liked the beat, I couldn't understand a thing they were saying but it sounded cool.  Ha!  My local radio station was reading the lyrics and I couldn't believe I had even liked this song!  Wow!  totally changed the way I was listening to it.

All the other kids with your pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet
All the other kids with the yoour pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet"

US OPEN

I'm not a huge fan of tennis but there is something about the US Open that excites even non-hard tennis fans like me.  Of course I'm rooting for the Williams sisters all the way!  Venus!!  usopen.org to follow the excitement.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, 10th Anniversary Edition
So I finally jumped on the Harry Potter train after all these years.  Started with book one and was really surprised that I liked it.  I rented and watched the movie right afterwards but I think maybe that was a  Potterness overload.  I will read the rest of the series (or until it stops holding my interest) and watch each movie in turn because I can't stand to call myself a reader and not know whats going on at Hobarts!!  :)

Some NerveSome Nerve by Jane Heller

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Ann works as an editor at Famous magazine she is too nice to get trashy information on stars which ends up costing her her job. She goes back to her hometown to get over this blow. She discovers the star who caused her to be fired is a patient in her local hospital. She volunteers there to get close to him and dig up some information so she can publish it and get her job back. She starts to realize she is having feelings for this guy after spending so much time with him and begins to doubt her plan. The ending was expected she did not become a viscous person trying to get this information out of him. This is a light read I finished it in one day.

Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, #11)Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

hmmm....It seems so much stuff is always happening to Sookie it all happens so fast you don't even have a moment to think on it and then something/someone else is trying to kill her. In this book it seems her relationship with Sam takes center stage. Eric is all of a sudden shown as the "bad" guy. He has to get married with someone his maker had picked out for him before he died. Sookie is just finding out about this. Eric feeds off of her in such a way that is very unlike him. I have always been team Bill but even I felt that Eric was being cut off in a very rapid manner. There is alot of new information in this book regarding Sookie's family history but at the end of the book I didn't really feel I learned anything new. How is that?
