City of Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #3)City of Ghosts by Stacia Kane

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I speeded through unholy magic and city of ghosts and enjoyed both of them. I can't stand the tension between Chess and Terrible. I can't believe I love Terrible as much as I do being that I couldn't stand him in the beginning. oohhhh he is very terrible. I have a love/hate relationship with Chess, I can't understand her drug addiction but I root for her regardless. I'm drug ignorant but I GET that they are very expensive! Seems I'm getting a funny feeling about the church maybe they are leading everybody wrong? I get the feeling they might not be as honest as they portray themselves. Truth is fact. whatever. Can't wait for the fourth book, March seems soooooo long away!

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1)Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really wasen't sure if I wanted to read this book. I kept hearing how Chess has a drug problem and that just was not something I was interested in reading about. I finally gave in after seeing how alot of the blogs I follow seem to love this series. Well they did not steer me wrong. By the end of the book I loved Chess, yes she does have a drug abuse problem and by reading the reviews of the next two books in the series it does not seem to be something that is going away. You have to pretty much get over that if you plan to enjoy the book. SHe had so many things going on at the same time that you really just wanted her to get some much needed sleep instead of popping pill after pill to keep going. I decided I loved Terrible and I demand to see them get together sooner rather than later!

Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and BackHeaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am not a very religious person but this book made me feel so optimistic and wanting to run to church (really it did). The family keeps having one problem after another in either health or money form. It seems things will never get better for them and then this story starts emerging from this little boy and it is so contagious. After reading this book you will just WANT to believe so badly.

Worst Case (Michael Bennett, #3)Worst Case by James Patterson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The thing with James Patterson books is that I never can make up my mind if I love them or hate them. Detective Michael Bennet is leading an investigation involving very wealthy kids being kidnapped. The kidnapper is not asking for money in exchange for these kids and the reason for that really puts a twist on the story that I never saw coming. I enjoyed the conversations between Michael Bennet and FBI Emily Parker they were filled with alot of funny lines thrown between them. When I finished reading the book I was really confused with the ending and the overall story. There seems to be a love triange and then at the end it just simply isin't there anymore. I did not even realize this was a series until I came upon that information here on Goodreads. I might just pick up the fourth book just to find out what happens between Mary Catherine (the nanny to his TEN adopted kids) and Mike.

Venus Williams pulled out of the U.S. Open yesterday after revealing she was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome.  Needless to say I'm so saddened by this and wish Venus the best in her recovery.
