wonderful love story like always from Nicholas Sparks with its share of anguish. I escape to books for romance and happily ever after but Sparks fools you and manages to throw real life in his books.
I really liked Alix and Nick, their story is just so real. It seems like they are real people having all these problems. I figured out the ending before it was revealed but I totally enjoyed getting there. After a life of having their relationship tested it seems like they finally had some peace and happiness. I was a bit disappointed when we are finally revealed why Nick had to leave town years ago. I felt we could have had a much better story there at the end but I was still very happy with the whole story and seeing how they fell in love.
Am I the only person who goes through lots of blogs and stalks Amazon trying to find the next perfect book? I will see a great review for a book on my favorite blogs and immediately download a sample for my kindle and then to later find that sample didn't interest me at all. I'm in an unhappy place. Nothing calls me. I don't have the drive to start a new series and understand that authors personal take on vampires, werewolves, Fae, or whatever else is in there. I dont' know how to read "normal" romances anymore if the male lead is not an alpha or sprouts canines then he is too boring. Now what??
Do I continue reading the breed series by Lora Leigh that I had dropped after Harmony's way?
Do I read Kresley Cole's Immortals after dark series to see if the second time around it will pull me into it's spell like it seems to have done to everybody else?
I'm only TEN books behind on this series....big deal :)
Very funny did not disappoint. Alot of the writing is from her monologues so you feel you have already heard most of it if you are an avid watcher of her show like me. Even then it was still funny to me and her personality comes through the pages. She always makes me laugh with the way she views different scenarios and life :)
This was a short book and I somewhat enjoyed it. It had funny moments but there was not enough background on the characters and alot of things were not explained. Tara is a court reporter? but we never see her do anything as far as working. Her very good friend is abducted but it dosen't seem as if she cares. We don't find out what happens to her I am not sure if this is addressed in the next book or not. Her other close friend seems to have an interest in the alpha but again if this isisn't addressed in a later book I do not understand why it was even introduced. The bad guy was caught easily so really it's mostly their mating story but I think I will keep reading this author just to see if any of these things are explained in a later book.
