The Best of MeThe Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

wonderful love story like always from Nicholas Sparks with its share of anguish. I escape to books for romance and happily ever after but Sparks fools you and manages to throw real life in his books.

The Sweet Gum TreeThe Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked Alix and Nick, their story is just so real. It seems like they are real people having all these problems. I figured out the ending before it was revealed but I totally enjoyed getting there. After a life of having their relationship tested it seems like they finally had some peace and happiness. I was a bit disappointed when we are finally revealed why Nick had to leave town years ago.  I felt we could have had a much better story there at the end but I was still very happy with the whole story and seeing how they fell in love.

What to read, what to read???

Am I the only person who goes through lots of blogs and stalks Amazon trying to find the next perfect book?  I will see a great review for a book on my favorite blogs and immediately download a sample for my kindle and then to later find that sample didn't interest me at all.  I'm in an unhappy place.  Nothing calls me.  I don't have the drive to start a new series and understand that authors personal take on vampires, werewolves, Fae, or whatever else is in there.  I dont' know how to read "normal" romances anymore if the male lead is not an alpha or sprouts canines then he is too boring.  Now what??
Do I continue reading the breed series by Lora Leigh that I had dropped after Harmony's way?
Tempting the Beast (Breeds, #1...The Man Within (Breeds, #2; Fe...Elizabeth's Wolf (Breeds, #3)Kiss of Heat (Breeds, #4; Feli...Soul Deep (Breeds, #5)The Breed Next Door (Breeds, #...Megan's Mark (Breeds, #7)Harmony's Way (Breeds, #8)

Do I read Kresley Cole's Immortals after dark series to see if the second time around it will pull me into it's spell like it seems to have done to everybody else?
The Warlord Wants Forever (Imm...A Hunger Like No Other (Immort...No Rest for the Wicked (Immort...Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Nig...Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Im...Dark Desires After Dusk (Immor...Kiss of a Demon King (Immortal...Deep Kiss of Winter (Includes:...Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Imm...Demon from the Dark (Immortals...Dreams of a Dark Warrior (Immo...Lothaire (Immortals After Dark...

I'm only TEN books behind on this series....big deal  :)

Seriously... I'm KiddingSeriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Very funny did not disappoint. Alot of the writing is from her monologues so you feel you have already heard most of it if you are an avid watcher of her show like me. Even then it was still funny to me and her personality comes through the pages. She always makes me laugh with the way she views different scenarios and life :)
Kiss and Kin (Werewolves in Love, #1)Kiss and Kin by Kinsey W. Holley

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This was a short book and I somewhat enjoyed it. It had funny moments but there was not enough background on the characters and alot of things were not explained.  Tara is a court reporter? but we never see her do anything as far as working.  Her very good friend is abducted but it dosen't seem as if she cares.  We don't find out what happens to her I am not sure if this is addressed in the next book or not.  Her other close friend seems to have an interest in the alpha but again if this isisn't addressed in a later book I do not understand why it was even introduced.  The bad guy was caught easily so really it's mostly their mating story but I think I will keep reading this author just to see if any of these things are explained in a later book.

Before I Go to SleepBefore I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The only mystery/suspense authors I usually follow are Mary Higgens Clark and Joy Fielding but I think SJ Watson will bring great things to the genre. This book kept me intrigued throughout the whole thing, I could NOT figure out who the bad guy was. I felt as confused as she was. The ending wrapped up too quickly for my taste and I felt I did not get complete closure. We are left in suspense wondering if she will remember her life the next day or not but I still really enjoyed it.

Beautiful DisasterBeautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The book captivated me early on but then after a while it began to lose its shine. Abby meets Travis and of course he ends up wooing her. It started losing me with all the drama that was going on around them, from fight clubs to Vegas hit men...huh??

There was a love triangle that didn't feel like it had any substance. The other guy had absolutely no chance I did not understand why he was even introduced. Her dark past really wasn't a dark past at all or at least to me it did not feel like such a powerful reason for all that "running away" talk.

   FIFTY SHADES BY E.L. JAMES
This book was even better than the first.  I am in love with Fifty( swoon).  He is right up there on my favorite list along with Barrons :)
I kept expecting the other shoe to drop throughout the entire book.  They had such wonderful happy times and I kept expecting dominant Fifty to return.  Their emails are so freaking funny I loved that back and fourth banter between them.  I'm relieved the second book was already out when I read the first one because the first ending was pure torture to think I had to wait for the other one.   We get a nice tidy ending this time that lets me be patient enough for the third book.  I love their confusing relationship and all her self-doubts because she is just so REAL.  Her inner goddess deserves a book all of her own because she is just so damn spunky!!
Laters Baby :)  love it!!

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I saw this book reccomendation at Maryse's Book Blog and I cannot begin to explain how this book sucked me in. In the beginning her way of speaking was getting on my nerves but then either she gets better or I get used to it. Oh my....her favorite term and the best way to explain how I feel about this book. It grabbed me from the start and I read it all the way through there was no stopping until I got to the end. Downloading book two to my kindle now because I need to know what happens with these two...BDSM is not my thing but I kept reading because it was not Ana's thing either so I was curious if she would turn around about it.  OH my..... I had to keep fanning my self   :)     oh my goodness and the damn funny emails between these two had me cracking up.....I would be laughing and then maybe wanting to cry and then so confused....argh....

City of Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #3)City of Ghosts by Stacia Kane

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I speeded through unholy magic and city of ghosts and enjoyed both of them. I can't stand the tension between Chess and Terrible. I can't believe I love Terrible as much as I do being that I couldn't stand him in the beginning. oohhhh he is very terrible. I have a love/hate relationship with Chess, I can't understand her drug addiction but I root for her regardless. I'm drug ignorant but I GET that they are very expensive! Seems I'm getting a funny feeling about the church maybe they are leading everybody wrong? I get the feeling they might not be as honest as they portray themselves. Truth is fact. whatever. Can't wait for the fourth book, March seems soooooo long away!

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1)Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really wasen't sure if I wanted to read this book. I kept hearing how Chess has a drug problem and that just was not something I was interested in reading about. I finally gave in after seeing how alot of the blogs I follow seem to love this series. Well they did not steer me wrong. By the end of the book I loved Chess, yes she does have a drug abuse problem and by reading the reviews of the next two books in the series it does not seem to be something that is going away. You have to pretty much get over that if you plan to enjoy the book. SHe had so many things going on at the same time that you really just wanted her to get some much needed sleep instead of popping pill after pill to keep going. I decided I loved Terrible and I demand to see them get together sooner rather than later!

Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and BackHeaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am not a very religious person but this book made me feel so optimistic and wanting to run to church (really it did). The family keeps having one problem after another in either health or money form. It seems things will never get better for them and then this story starts emerging from this little boy and it is so contagious. After reading this book you will just WANT to believe so badly.

Worst Case (Michael Bennett, #3)Worst Case by James Patterson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The thing with James Patterson books is that I never can make up my mind if I love them or hate them. Detective Michael Bennet is leading an investigation involving very wealthy kids being kidnapped. The kidnapper is not asking for money in exchange for these kids and the reason for that really puts a twist on the story that I never saw coming. I enjoyed the conversations between Michael Bennet and FBI Emily Parker they were filled with alot of funny lines thrown between them. When I finished reading the book I was really confused with the ending and the overall story. There seems to be a love triange and then at the end it just simply isin't there anymore. I did not even realize this was a series until I came upon that information here on Goodreads. I might just pick up the fourth book just to find out what happens between Mary Catherine (the nanny to his TEN adopted kids) and Mike.

Venus Williams pulled out of the U.S. Open yesterday after revealing she was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome.  Needless to say I'm so saddened by this and wish Venus the best in her recovery.

Foster the people- Pumped up kicks
I would hear this song on the radio and really liked the beat, I couldn't understand a thing they were saying but it sounded cool.  Ha!  My local radio station was reading the lyrics and I couldn't believe I had even liked this song!  Wow!  totally changed the way I was listening to it.
